Excited to have my own website. I would like to make posts about math (facts, history, visualizations, art), my career, my coding projects (e.g. games), and art. I’m going for an early-internet, minimalist aesthetic. I might keep private content hidden behind a password or only accessible with a link.
Behold: the Mandelbrot set. A shining example of mathematical beauty. This infinitely complex fractal emerges from an incredibly simple recursive complex-valued function. The elements of the Mandelbrot set are the values in the complex plane for which the function converges (over infinite recursions). The black parts belong to the Mandelbrot set. The rest of the colouring represents how quickly the function diverges. The shape has finite area and infinite perimeter!
