Website Plans for 2024 🥳

•

Happy New Year to all!

I’ve really enjoyed having this website and I will continue to update it regularly in 2024. Here are some of my ideas for posts in the coming year.

Abstract Algebra. This is a branch of mathematics that includes studies such as group theory and ring theory. Abstract algebra is a beautiful and elegant branch of pure mathematics. In abstract algebra you study “algebraic structures”, such as the integers, matrices, and sets of bijective functions, by generalizing about them and then studying their properties. Abstract Algebra is also the name of the textbook with which I learned group theory and ring theory in university, written by Thomas W. Judson. I want to post my full solutions to exercises in this textbook and have them up on my website as a resource for pure mathematics students. The book itself includes only a few hints and answers to a small number of exercises. I will probably write my solutions using LaTeX, which will be a good opportunity for me to practice this programming language. I will also make posts that introduce the topics of group theory and ring theory and go over some of the important theorems and concepts. I am really looking forward to diving back into this beautiful subject and sharing my journey with others.

Math resources. This will include amazing math YouTube channels (esp. focused on pure math), free textbooks for many different math courses, cheat-sheets (formulas/laws/rules), instructions on how to get any university textbook for free, and more.

Math history. Biographies of mathematicians and fun historical facts and stories.

Mathematical beauty. Examples.

Study tips. I’d like to make a post about some of the study habits that helped me throughout my academic journey. I hope this will be helpful to some of students.

Tutoring. Being a math tutor is without a doubt the best job I’ve ever had. I might talk about my plans for my tutoring business or share my thoughts in some other way.

Watson. My dog will be turning 10 years old on February 2, 2024. I will definitely make some sort of Watson appreciation post for his Birthday. I love dogs!

Freestyle football. I have set up some goals for myself. I might post an edited video later this year.

Music. I might share some of my playlists. I listen to several hours of music everyday!

And lots more. I have so many interests and hobbies—there are more ideas to come, no doubt.

For me, 2023 was a year of both tragedy and jubilation. I am filled with hope and determination for 2024.
